How do I change the mailing address on the bill?

Are tax bills mailed to mortgage companies?

No, tax bills are only mailed to property owners.  They are not mailed to mortgage companies. It is the responsibility of the property owner to provide a copy of the tax bill to their mortgage company and ensure they send payment to the tax collector timely.

What happens if a bill is not paid by the end of the year?

By law, at the end of the year, a tax collector is required to turn over unpaid bills for collection to Cumberland County Tax Claims Bureau where additional charges will be added to the amount due. After the unpaid bill is turned over, the tax collector is not able accept payment or provide any additional information regarding it. The taxpayer will need to contact the Cumberland County Tax Claims Bureau.

How do I change the names on the tax bill due to marriage, divorce or deceased spouse? 

The names on the bill are taken from the original deed filed with the Cumberland County Recorder of Deeds office. The tax collector is unable to update deed information. You will need to contact the Recorder of Deeds office to see how to property change the name on the deed.  In terms of a deceased spouse, their name may remain on the tax bill if you so choose. answer here.
